County Cleanup Schedule Changes Coming to the Hondo Valley

Locations for the Fall and Spring county cleanups in the Hondo Valley are being reorganized by the Greentree Solid Waste Authority. The Authority will continue to provide a crew & 2 roll off containers at the entrance gate, between 9 am and 12 Noon or until full at the Hondo Collection Center on US 380. The clean-up is for residents paying for trash service of the Authority only. The resident will need to provide the stub from the bill or get authorization in advance from the authority office before the cleanup. The crew will have a list of area residents from the different zip codes for Hondo, Tinnie and Piccacho at the collection center the day of the cleanup. If you do not receive your mail from 88336, 88351 or 88343 you would need to call the office. Cleanup for San Patricio zip code 88348, area residents will be held on another weekend. Cleanup for Glencoe zip code 88324 will be held at HCC.

Bulk items such as old kitchen appliances, hot water heaters, misc. waste and old furniture are among the items that will be accepted. Yard waste, tires, paint or any other special wastes will not be accepted at these cleanups. A new schedule of dates and times will be forthcoming.
